( Getty Images / July 7, 2009 ) The two-time Olympian won three medals at the 2008 Games, a silver and two bronze, while losing the 400-meter freestyle final by .07 of a second. Hoff, who grew up in Towson, trained with Michael Phelps at North Baltimore Aquatic Club and won eight gold medals in world championship events. Her 2008 world record in the 400 individual medley was later broken. |
