Howard board, superintendent in legal battle as they run county school system

News item: In a decision that might make the Scott Boras's of the world cough up their Cristal, San Francisco Giants ace Tim Lincecum reportedly turned down a five-year, $100 million contract in favor of a two-year deal for about the same average annual salary.

Schmuck's take: I don't think Lincecum is being greedy. I think he's that rare player who knows he already has enough money to live in luxury for several lifetimes and just wants to maintain control over his life.
