I am absolutely fascinated by The Sun's obsession with the Baltimore Grand Prix and its struggle to become a viable attraction. I only vaguely remember The Sun's reporting and commenting of the run up to last year's race.
I watched that race just to see my hometown on TV and yell there's this or that landmark. I, being completely ignorant of the politics of putting the race itself together, thought old Baltimore did a great job, and the feedback from the drivers and their teams was in some cases over the moon. Wow! First year and all.
But it only took a couple of days for The Sun to start tearing anything Grand Prix apart, and it goes on apace. Witness Friday's editorial "Worse and worse" (May 11). Hey what's up?
