- Aberdeen will play Brookings at 8:30 tonight at the Larson Ice Arena in Brookings in the opening round of the boys’ varsity state hockey tourney. All 11 games over the three days will be webcast live at brookings.tv.
- Around 100 reserved tickets along with student general admission tickets for the State A boys’ basketball tourney in Rapid City March 14-16 will be on sale today at the Aberdeen Roncalli High School office.
- First-team All-Summit League player and South Dakota State senior Nate Wolters also was named player of the year. Teammates Jordan Dykstra (second team) and Tony Fiegen (honorable mention) were honored as was South Dakota’s Juevol Myles (honorable mention and all-newcomer team).
