RAPID CITY — South Dakota Tech routed Cole College 65-6 in both team’s season opener Saturday.
Tech finished with 489 yards of total offense. Evan Sanders went 12-of-19 passing for 142 yards and two scores, while Ben Broeker was 5-of-7 for 128 yards and the two touchdowns. Sanders put the Hardrockers in the end zone on a 55-yard pass to senior Derek Graves four minutes into the game. Freshman running back Marshall Brownfield led on the ground with 91 yards on 13 carries.

Mayville State 27
FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University downed Mayville State 31-27 on Saturday.
Midland’s defense forced two fumbles and two interceptions in the victory. Midland QB Mike Karls completed 12 passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 56 rushing yards on the day. Nathan Schluter pulled in two touchdown passes for 25 yards, and Kirk Zinermon caught three passes for 39 yards and one touchdown. Zinermon also added a 63-yard kickoff return. Corey Meshack led the Warrior ground attack, rushing for 74 yards.
Trinity International University 48
Trinity Bible College 0
ELLENDALE, N.D. — Trinity International University blanked Trinity Bible College 48-0 on Saturday.
Chris Elliott rushed for 103 yards on 18 carries and accounted for three TDs in the victory. Jeremiah Carter added three field goals, including a 44-yarder for Trinity International University.
Trinity Bible finished with only 160 total yards compared to Trinity International’s 443 total yards. Trinity Bible will play at Cole College in Denver, Colo., this Saturday.
