1992 -- Marc Tobin scored the tying goal with 28 seconds left in regulation and scored the game-winner a minute and 23 seconds into overtime as the Aberdeen Bulldogs defeated Huron 6-5 for the Bantam hockey state tournament championship
1997 -- North Carolina coach Dean Smith moved into first place on the list of the NCAA's all-time winningest coaches, as the Tar Heels beat Colorado 73-56. The win was the 877th for Smith in his 41 years of coaching, eclipsing the mark of Adoph Rupp, who coached for 36 seasons.
2002 -- Freshman Blake Yackley hit a three-pointer as time expired in overtime to lift Sully Buttes to a 68-67 victory over Northwestern in a consolation semifinal game at the State B high school basketball tournament. Kevin Colestock topped Sully Buttes with 24 and Yackley added 19.
2007 -- Louie Krogman sank 14 of 24 field goal attempts (5-of-8 three pointers) and seven of eight free throws on the way to scoring 40 points and establishing a new State B first-round record, leading White River to a 58-45 victory over Armour.
2011 -- Louis Educate scored two goals during Aberdeen's four-goal second period that lifted the Wings to a 5-4 North American Hockey League victory over the Alexandria Blizzard. Tyler Poulsen, Nils Semjonovs and C.J. Pullar also had goals for the Wings.
