South Dakota State is celebrating 50 years of football at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings.

The Jacks are 162-99 on its home field. SDSU coaches, administrators and media and its fans recently named a 50-player Coughlin-Alumni Stadium All-Time Team. Here are the area players who made that team:

Clyde Hagen of Webster: Three-time letterman (1967-69) ... all-North Central Conference tight end in 1969 ... led SDSU in receptions in both 1967 (16) and 1968 (30) ... also was a basketball and track and field star for the Jacks.

Jerry Ochs of Aberdeen Central: Three-time letterman (1961-63) ... two-time all-North Central Conference offensive lineman (1962-63) ... team captain on 1963 North Central Conference championship team ... played linebacker on defense and also competed in track and field.

Monte Mosiman of Onida: Lettered three years (1975-77) ... two-time all-North Central Conference tight end (1976-77) ... led SDSU in receptions in both 1976 (then-school record 51) and 1977 (40) ... also set for records (since broken) for single-season (839 in 1976) and career (1,514) receiving yards and career receptions (102) ... remains seventh on single-season receiving yards with 839 in 1976.

&middot Ryan Berry of Watertown (2005, 2007-08), school records for career passing yards (6,023) and TDs (56).

&middot Mike Busch of Huron (1984-85), North Central Conference Most Valuable Back in 1985.

&middot Gary Maffett of Urbandale, Iowa (1977-79), NCC MVP Back in 1979 and now long-time Brookings football coach.

&middot Ron Meyer of Wells, Minn. (1963-65), played pro football for Pittsburgh in 1966.

&middot Ted Wahl of Jamestown (1985-88), NCC MVP Back in 1988.

Running Backs

&middot Darwin Gonnerman of Adrian, Minn. (1966-68), 2-time All-American.

&middot Kyle Minett of Ruthton, Minn. (2007-10), 2-time All-American.

&middot Josh Ranek of Tyndall (1998-2001), only player in SDSU history to lead team in rushing for 4 seasons, finishing with career-record 6,744. Successful Canadian Football League career.

&middot Dan Sonnek of Easton, Minn. (1985-87), led NCAA Division II in rushing (1,518) in 1985.

&middot Les Tuma of Mahaska, Kan. (1971-73), led SDSU in rushing from 1971-73.

Wide Receivers

&middot Josh Davis of Omaha, Neb. (2002-05), holds SDSU single-game record with 16 catches.
