The second-seeded Northern State women's basketball team (19-7) will host No. 7 Moorhead (14-12) at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen in the opening round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament.
Ticket prices set by NSIC officials: $10 adult, $8 seniors, $2 students, and free for ages 2 and under and NSU students with valid student ID. Doors open at 6 p.m.
NSU Wolves Club member passes will not be honored at the gates. However, all regular-season reserved seating will remain in effect, as will Wolves Club reserved parking passes. Wolves Club members can buy advance game tickets at the NSU Foundation office, 620 15th Ave. S.E., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Wednesday.
The Wolves are coached by Curt Fredrickson, one of the nation's winningest women's coaches in the nation with 690 wins in 32 seasons, all at NSU.
UMAC teams advance
Two Minnesota college basketball teams from Presentation College's conference will advance to the NCAA Division III national tournament.
The Minnesota-Morris women and Northwestern College men of St. Paul will represent the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. The Minnesota-Morris women's basketball team (22-6) will play Coe College (24-3) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday in the first round.
The Northwestern College men (21-6) won't have to travel far for its first NCAA tournament game in the school's history as the Eagles will face the University of St. Thomas (24-3) of St. Paul at 8 p.m. Friday.
DAC finals tonight
The Dakota Athletic Conference basketball championships are tonight.
In the men's game, Black Hills State (25-5) will host rival South Dakota Mines (19-11) in Spearfish at 7 p.m. MST. In the women's game, Valley City State (22-8) will host Jamestown (21-7) at 7 p.m. CST.
SDSU men No. 5
The Sioux Falls Arena will host the Summit League Men's Basketball Tournament Saturday through March 8.

State meet in Pierre
Pierre will host the 2011 indoor swim state meet, which runs Friday-Sunday. The state short course championships will be at the eight-lane, 25-yard pool in the Pierre Aquatics Center.
