April 14 - South Park angers Muslim group

On April 14, South Park's 200th episode called "200" touched off anger among members of the Muslim community when the prophet Muhammad is depicted as a bear.  A New York based radical Muslim group posted an entry on its website after the episode claiming the show's producers <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB0000008633" title="Trey Parker" href="/topic/entertainment/trey-parker-PECLB0000008633.topic">Trey Parker</a> and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB0000008016" title="Matt Stone" href="/topic/entertainment/matt-stone-PECLB0000008016.topic">Matt Stone</a> "will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show".  Van Gogh was a cartoonist murdered for his depiction of Muhammad in 2004.

Van Gogh was a cartoonist murdered for his depiction of Muhammad in 2004.
