Russian communists celebrate 93rd anniversary of Bolshevik uprising

Russian communist party supporters hold red flags during a rally in the southern town of Stavropol on November 7, 2010, marking the 93rd anniversary of Vladimir Lenin's overthrow of the Tsarist empire. Since the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia has stopped holding lavish celebrations to commemorate the seizure of Saint Petersburg' Winter Palace by Bolshevik forces on October 25, 1917, which under the present-day calendar corresponds to November 7.
