Romeo and Juliet

This festive beverage is from the Bradstreet Crafthouse restaurant in Minneapolis. We're not sure why it's called "Romeo and Juliet" maybe it has something to do with the rose water and angostura bitters combo. Skal!! Serves 1 Ingredients: 3 thin (1/2-in.) slices cucumber Small pinch salt 3 drops rose water 3 drops angostura bitters 3/4 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 3/4 oz. simple syrup 2 oz. gin (Bradstreet uses Plymouth) 1 fresh mint leaf Muddle cucumber and salt. Combine cucumber and rose water, bitters, lime juice, simple syrup and gin. Shake and strain. Serve in glass with garnish of mint leaf and drop of rose water and 3 drops bitters. Photo Tom Wallace
