Dorothea Lange was an American photojournalist widely famous for documenting the affects of the Great Depression. Her work brought the Depression's ravages on blue collar families to the doorsteps of the middle and upper-classes. 'Migrant Mother' is one of her most iconic pieces, often seen as a symbol of the Great Depression.
