While current projections are that Earl will continue to weaken as it moves over cooler waters, it still described as a dangerous storm and the largest to make it into the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100804000000" title="New York City" href="/topic/us/new-york/new-york-city-PLGEO100100804000000.topic">New York City</a> region since Hurricane Bob in 1991.
