Euro major Studiocanal has unveiled two new high-profile films. James Watkins will direct "Bastille Day," an action thriller starring Idris Elba and Adele Exarchopoulos. Vendome Pictures will producing along with Anonymous Content.
It also announced helmer Luca Guadagnino's next pic, a yet-to-be-titled project starring Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Margot Robbie and Matthias Schoenaerts. The sexy thriller is set for a summer shoot in Italy.
Studiocanal is financing both pics and distributing the pair in France, Germany, the U.K., New Zealand and Australia, and selling the rest of the world on the duo.
Studiocanal will announce a major U.S. studio coming on board "Bastille Day" in the next few days.
