Composer T Bone Burnett to Speak at USC's Annenberg Commencement

Academy and Grammy Award-winning music producer T Bone Burnett will be USC Annenberg School of Communication's commencement speaker at this year's ceremony.

Burnett has more than 40 years of experience in music and entertainment, having recently served as executive music producer and composer for the HBO series "True Detective."

A 13-time Grammy winner, Burnett won his latest award in the category of best song written for visual media for the song "Safe and Sound," which appeared in "The Hunger Games." Collaborators included on the song were Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars' Joy Williams and John Paul White.

Commencement will take place on May 16.
