Bradley Cooper has been set to star in and produce crime thriller "American Blood" for Warner Bros.
Cooper will produce through his Warner-based 22nd and Indiana banner along with Le Grisbi Prods.' John Lesher and Adam Kassen will also produce. Brendan Deneeen from MacMillan Entertainment and Pouya Shahbazian of New Leaf Literary and Media are exec producing.
The studio has acquired Ben Sanders' book proposal, centered on an ex-NYPD officer turned mob informant who's living in New Mexico in the witness protection program and gets into trouble for investigating the disappearance of a young woman. Andrew Sodroski ("Holland, Michigan") will adapt the book for the screenplay. The book will be published in fall 2015.
Sheroum Kim is overseeing for 22nd & Indiana and Sean Murphy will oversee for Le Grisibi. Chantal Nong will oversee for the studio.
Cooper and Sodroski are repped by CAA.
