Gerardo Naranjo's untitled English-language debut, starring Dakota Fanning, has been fully financed and starts production in late March in Nevada.
"Harry Potter" actor Frank Dillane, Jeremy Allen White ("Shameless") and "X-Men: First Class" thesps Zoe Kravitz and Caleb Landry Jones are also starring in the film, with Naranjo ("Miss Bala") directing from his own script.
Hunter Gray and Alex Orlovsky of Verisimilitude and Chris Ramirez of Lola Pictures will produce. The film is a co-production of Verisimilitude and Lola Pictures, which is also financing.
Fanning will portray a roadie on a journey of self-discovery while on tour with a punk band in the 1980s.
CAA arranged the financing, and Preferred Content negotiated the deal on behalf of the financiers. Domestic distribution rights will be represented by CAA and Preferred Content.
Fanning was last seen in the final "Twilight" film. She recently wrapped "Effie Gray," "Every Secret Thing" and "Franny."
Fanning is repped by WME and Echo Lake Entertainment.
