Hanway Films is repping international rights at the European Film Market in Berlin. WME is handling domestic rights.
Rodrigo Garcia ("Albert Nobbs") is directing from his own script with production starting this month in the Southern California desert. Ciaran Hinds and Ayelet Zurer will portray the parents of Sheridan's character.
McGregor will play both a holy man and a demon on a journey through the desert who encounters a family struggling to survive -- forcing the holy man to confront his own fate.
"Last Days" is produced by Julie Lynn and Bonnie Curtis of Mockingbird Pictures along with Wicks Walker. Walker and Nicolas Gonda are financing through Walker's Division Films and Nicolas Gonda's Ironwood Films in association with Different Drummer and New Balloon.
Garcia and director of photography Emmanuel "Chivo" Lubezki ("Gravity") are re-teaming after having worked on Garcia's "Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her," which won Un Certain Regard at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. Garcia and Mockingbird collaborated on "Albert Nobbs."
McGregor recently wrapped production on "Mortdecai" opposite Johnny Depp and currently stars in "August: Osage County."
McGregor is represented by UTA, United Agents and Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern.
