Fox Sports producers were forced to scramble at the eleventh-hour to shuffle assignments among its Super Bowl broadcast team after Terry Bradshaw bowed out following the death of his father.
William Bradshaw died Thursday in Louisiana after a long illness.
Fox Sports' regular Michael Strahan was tapped to fill Bradshaw's role on the pre-game show, alongside Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson and Jay Glazer. Fox Sports' Chris Myers will fill Strahan's post with Charissa Thompson on the red carpet portion of Fox's pre-game programming.
"On behalf of everyone at Fox Sports, we want to extend our deepest sympathy to Terry, his mother Novis, brothers Gary and Craig and the entire Bradshaw family," the network said in a statement.
Hosted by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks begins at 3:25 p.m. PT.
