NYWIFT, a Gotham-based association for women in the industry, presents its annual Muse kudos to femmes of outstanding vision and achievement in the media biz.
Barkin lands the award on the heels of credits including her recent stint in NBC skein "The New Normal" and a Tony-winning turn in "The Normal Heart" on Broadway. Britton, who attracted notice for gigs in "Friday Night Lights" and "American Horror Story," currently toplines ABC series "Nashville," while Wright ("The Princess Bride," "Forrest Gump") stars on Netflix series "House of Cards."
Manzano, best known as the character Maria on "Sesame Street," recently penned novel "The Revolution of Evelyn Serrano," while Berwick is the prexy of the Bravo and Oxygen TV networks.
At the luncheon where the 33rd annual Muse Awards will be presented, NYWIFT will also hand out the Loreen Arbus Award to TV helmer-producer-actor Nancy Malone for her work as an activist pushing for changes that benefit women.
The 2013 Muse Awards lunch is set for Dec. 12 at the New York Hilton in midtown Manhattan.
