Go figure. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is, er, catching fire with early tracking services suggesting the pic will earn between $140 million and $150 million when it opens Stateside on Nov. 22.

That may be a conservative figure for Lionsgate's massively anticipated sequel, however.

Other box office watchers suggest the film could gross north of $160 million during its first three days domestically.

The film's early tracking, which was released to subscribers Thursday, will gain more clarity once Disney-Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" bows on Nov. 8. Early projections peg that pic at around $80 million.

For "Catching Fire," it's reasonable to assume the film will outdo its predecessor's $152 million domestic opening, especially since the sequel bows the week before Thanksgiving, as opposed to the first pic's March launch date. "Catching Fire" should nab the biggest November opening, eclipsing "Twilight: New Moon,' with $142 million.

That said, "Catching Fire" will have a tough time catching the two biggest Stateside openers of all time, "The Avengers" ($207 million) and "Iron Man 3" ($174 million), both of which bowed in 3D during the summer.
