An already good ratings story for Fox News Channel's revamped primetime lineup got even better with numbers for Tuesday night, which saw Megyn Kelly's new show gain nicely and dominate in key demos.

According to Nielsen, "The Kelly File" averaged 2.77 million viewers on Tuesday -- up 34% from Monday (2.07 million) and again more than the combined tallies of MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow" (1.08 million) and CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" (590,858).

But the best news came in the 25-54 demo that advertisers prize, as "Kelly File" more than doubled her premiere-night score. Tuesday night's 623,142 viewers in 25-54 was more than two times the audience of "Maddow" (290,767) and more than tripled "Piers Morgan" (168,728). This was a reversal of Monday night, when the MSNBC program finished ahead of the FNC newbie.

"Kelly File" was the top-rated FNC program of the night in adults 25-54, building on "The O'Reilly Factor" (590,858 vs. 578,206) while retaining more than 95% of the long-running 8 p.m. show's overall audience (2.77 million vs. 2.98 million)

At 10, "Hannity" showed similar demo improvement, more than doubling its total from Monday to 517,047 adults 25-54 and rising 43% in total viewers (to 2.17 million).

In all three hours of primetime, FNC beat the combined demo and total-viewer audience of CNN and MSNBC.
