Topher Grace, Sarah Silverman and Patti Lupone will star in Bruce Eric Kaplan's comedy series pilot for HBO, "People in New Jersey," with "The Heat" helmer Paul Feig directing.

Kaplan and Feig are exec producing with Lorne Michaels and Andrew Singer for HBO Entertainment in association with Broadway Video and Feigco Entertainment.

Grace and Silverman will play brother and sister, while Lupone will play their widowed mother in "People." Grace plays a single locksmith who is warm and considerate but also hates change and has definite ideas of how things should be.

Silverman plays a former management consultant now working part-time at a department store, a closet optimist who nevertheless wonders if she deserves better. Lupone's character spends most of her energy worrying about her children and why they aren't settled down.
