Theodore Sorensen

Theodore C. Sorensen, <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT003488" title="John F. Kennedy" href="/topic/politics/government/presidents-of-the-united-states/john-f.-kennedy-PEPLT003488.topic">John F. Kennedy</a>'s close adviser and writer-in-residence in the Senate in the 1950s, died Oct. 31. Sorenson would eventually become special counsel to the president and remained chief speechwriter during the Kennedy presidency,  He was 82.
