Hank Cochran

Songwriter Hank Cochran died July 15, 2010, at his Tennessee home after a battle with cancer. He wrote or co-wrote hundreds of songs that were recorded by top artists including <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB003449" title="Elvis Presley" href="/topic/entertainment/music/elvis-presley-PECLB003449.topic">Elvis Presley</a>, <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB003792" title="George Strait" href="/topic/entertainment/music/george-strait-PECLB003792.topic">George Strait</a> and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB003292" title="Willie Nelson" href="/topic/entertainment/music/willie-nelson-PECLB003292.topic">Willie Nelson</a>. But it may be <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB001026" title="Patsy Cline" href="/topic/entertainment/music/patsy-cline-PECLB001026.topic">Patsy Cline</a>'s version of "I Fall to Pieces" and Eddy Arnold's take on "Make the World Go Away" that solidify his place in music history. Cochran was 74.
