If you want to see three of the nation's best high school baseball teams, you need only to take a drive down Flamingo Road from Plantation to Pembroke Pines.
The MaxPreps XCellent 25 national rankings were released Tuesday morning and Archbishop McCarthy (No. 6, 10-1), Flanagan (No. 7, 8-0) and American Heritage (No. 9, 8-1) are all ranked in the Top-10. They lead a list of six Florida schools in the poll.
Flanagan jumped into the Top-10 after being unranked last week. McCarthy moved up three spots after beating Heritage 5-0 at home Friday night while Heritage fell six spots following its first loss.
In Perfect Game's Top-50 national rankings this week, McCarthy is No. 2, Heritage is No. 8 and Coral Springs Christian is No. 21.
Meanwhile, Baseball America has McCarthy ranked No. 6 and Heritage ranked No. 21 in its Top-25 poll this week.
