Do you know a business savvy youngster?
The Galleria mall in Fort Lauderdale is inviting young entrepreneurs, from 6 to 15 years old, to submit business plans via Facebook or in person at the mall for a chance to set up a shop for a day at the mall.
Up to 20 participants will be selected for the "Kids, Inc." program. Entries for children 12 years old and younger must be submitted by a parent or guardian.
The entries with the most Facebook “Likes” will be the winners. An agency working with the mall will post on Facebook the entries submitted in person.
The last day to submit an entry is June 24. Voting will open from June 25 to July 11.
Businesses go live July 27.
“We are giving them the opportunity to come into the mall and see how other businesses work, how to sell and make a profit,” said Melissa Milroy, senior marketing manager at The Galleria.
