Man with revoked license accused of driving over 100-mph, ramming cop car

Greenacres cops say a Wellington man, Julian Alberto Lopez, 24, rammed a patrol car after going more than 100-mph shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Lopez has a permanently revoked license, cops said.

The cop Lopez passed estimated his speed to be about 110-mph.

When Lopez pulled into Atlantis Skateway -- which had a crowd standing near the entrance -- the officer reportedly managed to cut Lopez's car off and stopped him from hitting the crowd.

That's when Lopez "intentionally rammed" the right side of the patrol car leading to minor paint damage, according to the report.
