The Broward Republican Party said longtime committeewoman Marian Eikenberg of Coral Springs has died.
Its message, via Twitter, didn't have any further information.
Mrs. Eikenberg, 66, was the wife of Republican committeeman Joe Eikenberg. The couple registered to vote as Republicans on the same day, voter registration records show.
Their son, Eric, is also heavily involved in politics. He's currently the CEO of the Everglades Foundation. Previously he was chief of staff for former Gov. Charlie Crist (when Crist was a Republican) and for former U.S. Rep. Clay Shaw, R-Fort Lauderdale.
