A tech-looking Torah floats above the ocean in this stained-glass window at Temple Bat Yam in Fort Lauderdale. The spiral-shaped spools are meant to stand for DNA, the genetic code. And instead of text, the scroll shows the soundwave equivalent of the Shema, the basic Jewish creed of monotheism. The sailboats and water recall the temple's name, which is Hebrew for "Daughter of the Sea."
