Feb. 10, 2009: Greenacres collision

<b>What happened:</b> Officer Gary Chan of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100412060000" title="Greenacres" href="/topic/us/florida/palm-beach-county/greenacres-PLGEO100100412060000.topic">Greenacres</a> was responding to an emergency with its siren on and lights flashing when A <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100412110000" title="Lake Worth" href="/topic/us/florida/palm-beach-county/lake-worth-PLGEO100100412110000.topic">Lake Worth</a> driver turned directly into its path, investigators said. The police car also crashed into a bus shelter in front of Indian Pines Elementary School.
