Sonja Borrero

Sonja Borrero and about 40 others will make this dying mobile home park their home. Sonja can smile a little easier these days after getting her teeth fixed. She had lost her front teeth while undergoing open heart surgery. Palma Nova, once home to 940 families, is set to close on Sunday. The park started clearing out last year after owner Austin Forman sent eviction notices in August giving the families until Feb. 28 to move. He later agreed to allow the few remaining residents to stay until May 31. Forman has not said what plans he has for the 20-acre parcel.
