Fernandez spent much of his four seasons with Marlins hurt, but he was a workhorse for the 1997 World Series team, totaling 220 2/3 innings and becoming one of four pitchers in club history with at least 17 wins in a season. His 3.59 ERA ranks fifth all-time among Marlins with at least 300 innings.
