The sun is shining, birds are chirping, coffee is brewing... and there's a crocodile dilly-dallying in my yard.
An Islamorada woman called 911 dispatchers yesterday morning to report a crocodile nesting in her front yard in a residential area, according to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
The woman told dispatchers she thought the croc was female and estimated it be 9-feet long.
Responding deputies arrived, along with experts from the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, who relocated the croc, deputies said.
One big clue it was female: Reports from the scene said the croc had laid 27 eggs.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
