Wreckage pulled from Sawgrass

Keith Mackey of Heliflight Helicopters at Executive Airport , the company that lifted the crashed plane from the Everglades west of Coral Springs. Mackey checks damage to the experimental plane an RV-4. In checking the planes instruments they found out the aircraft was losing altitude at a rate of 2000 foot per minute and had 69.6 hours in the air. The pilot died in the crash and a passenger was picked up from a fish camp about 24 hours later. LOU TOMAN / Sun Sentinel
