The Miami Dolphins have re-signed quarterback Aaron Corp, a player they released late last month.
Corp was serving as the fourth quarterback through OTA’s and minicamp until being released.
He will join current Dolphins quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore and Pat Devlin.
There was some thought Corp might re-sign with the Dolphins immediately after the Hall of Fame game against Dallas, when Devlin sustained a hand injury. But Devlin only missed one practice and played against Jacksonville last week.
Devlin wasn't at practice on Wednesday.
Corp (6-4, 215 pounds) sat atop the depth chart at USC after Mark Sanchez skipped his senior season in 2009. He then fractured his fibula during fall camp and lost his job to Matt Barkley.
Corp transferred to the University of Richmond in 2010, where he started for the Spiders the next two seasons.
He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills after the 2012 draft, but was released two weeks later. Buffalo re-signed him in February and released him on April 29th.
Corp was signed by the Dallas Cowboys on May 7th, but was cut two days later and signed with the Dolphins on May 15th. He was waived on July 28th.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
