Fiore's Vintage Men's Wear, Palm Beach

Wow factor: This two-room storefront near The Breakers hotel offers mostly gently used, high-end designer men's fashions at prices that a dapper Joe the Plumber looking for something special could afford. It features exotic, European-influenced decor, and inventory comes in daily carrying tags from heavyweights including Versace, Gucci and Armani. Background: Original owner Daniel Fiore sold the shop less than a year ago to Jerry Allison, who recently died. New ownership is being determined. Meanwhile, manager Richard Múth has a rapport with customers and a knack for placing appealing items where they are easily accessible to shoppers. Consigned clothing must be in excellent condition - if not brand-new - laundered and "looking nifty." Editor's picks: Vintage Lilly Pulitzer blazers that the shop's original owner collected, priced from $800 to $1,000 each; alligator and black leather biker jacket, $800 (originally more than $2,000 when purchased new); a variety of $20 designer ties. Trivia: The shop has been known to open after-hours so celebrities, whom Múth declined to name, can shop without pressure. - Jennifer Heit, Special Correspondent INFORMATIONAL BOX: Fiore's Vintage Men's Wear Address: 116 N.
