( HARRISON MCCLARY, REUTERS / January 13, 2013 ) People line the streets during the funeral for Korean War veteran Private First Class Glenn Schoenmann in Palmer, Tennessee, January 12, 2013. The soldier who left his family farm in Tennessee to volunteer for the Korean War has come home more than six decades later to be buried next to his mother and father. With the help of DNA samples provided by his siblings in 2004, the U.S. military identified Schoenmann's remains recovered in North Korea. He was 20 when he died in December 1950. |
