( Sun Sentinel, File ) Staghorn Coral on Delray's Seagate Reef. This is the first time coral species have been listed on the Endangered Species list in the United States. Staghorn and Elkhorn once the primary reef building corals found throughout the Caribbean and Florida have declined by more than 97 percent in the last twenty years. |
