Broward's first black mailman

Leonard D. Gainey II, of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100403120000" title="Lauderdale Lakes" href="/topic/us/florida/broward-county/lauderdale-lakes-PLGEO100100403120000.topic">Lauderdale Lakes</a>, was the first African-American postal carrier in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100403000000" title="Broward County" href="/topic/us/florida/broward-county-PLGEO100100403000000.topic">Broward County</a>. He was also the first chief executive officer of the Urban League of Broward County.
