It must have seemed like a scence straight out of the movie Deliverance.
David Smeal, 52, is accused of brandishing a machete in front of campers at a Melbourne park, according to police, reports Florida Today in Melbourne.
Cops say Smeal asked a family at the campground if they would buy some booze for him. When they refused, Smeal reportedly told them, “it’s not going to be a good night,” before leaving, according to the arrest report.
Smeal then returned with a machete and struck up a conversation with the couple’s 8-year-old daughter. Mom and dad got cuts while subduing the man, according to police.
Time to break camp.
And welcome to the "whack job" list, Mr. Smeal.
