Congressman Ted Deutch represents Florida’s 21st district in the House of Representatives, which includes communities throughout western Palm Beach and Broward counties. Ted lives in West Boca Raton with his wife and three children, and before running for public office he worked in the private sector as a commercial real estate attorney. Described as a rising voice in the Democratic caucus by the Washington newspaper Roll Call, his priorities include strengthening retirement security in America, growing South Florida’s economy through investments in education and infrastructure, and protecting the integrity of our elections.
In addition to serving on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Ethics Committee, Ted is also the Ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa. There, he continues his work to strengthen U.S. sanctions aimed at thwarting Iran’s illicit nuclear weapons program, protecting the security of our ally Israel, and advancing human rights worldwide.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
