Scott Verner is President and CEO of Nipro Diagnostics, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of diabetes management solutions. Since moving to Broward County five years ago, Scott has been an active leader in the county's economic development initiatives.
He is a member of the CEO Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance. The Alliance is Broward County's official private/public partnership for economic development. The role of the Alliance's CEO Council, which is comprised of Broward County and South Florida's top market CEOs, is to market and promote Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County brand as a premier location for corporate headquarters and international regional headquarters. The CEO Council also is involved with monitoring the area¿s national external rankings/perceptions to ensure continued favorability as a business location.
Scott also serves on Broward County's Six Pillars community-wide strategic visioning process. The Six Pillars process, which is being led by the Florida Chamber Foundation at the state level, provides the structure to discuss and act upon on Florida's future and is meant to help communities statewide prosper and create high-paying jobs.
In his role as President and CEO of Nipro Diagnostics, Scott is committed to making a difference in the lives of the millions of people with diabetes. Nipro is a Platinum Sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which is a leading global organization whose research mission is to discover, develop and deliver advances that cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. Nipro is also a supporter of the International Diabetes Federation's Life for a Child Program. Nipro has provided diabetes products which have helped to save the lives of nearly 1000 children with diabetes in developing countries. And, Nipro has consistently been a top fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association.
