Low-pressure system expected to strengthen into tropical depression

A patch of rainy, windy weather in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean has become better organized in the past few hours and is given a 70 percent chance of strengthening into a tropical depression, according to a 2 p.m. advistory from the National Hurricane Center.
