Japanese Hatsume Fair in Delray - March 29 and 30

To celebrate the first bud of spring, the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens brings many different Japanese and Asian traditions to one event. Since creating the festival 35 years ago, the museum has incorporated such activities as taiko drumming, martial art demonstrations - like judo, karate and taekwondo - bonsai workshops and a tea ceremony. In most recent years, , the museum added anime elements (Japanese animation) to the festival with more manga vendors and a fashion show. Besides sushi, chicken teriyaki, yakitori and other Asian dishes, the festival will have a sake station and a Japanese beer garden.
