"African Heritage": The Black History Month-themed display of works capturing landmark moments in African-American history is drawn from a collection of a dozen local artists. Highlights include Bryan Favors’ original sculptures and artifacts, Betty Pinkney’s autobiographical paintings and Elizabeth Perry’s emancipation-themed works. An opening reception for the show, which opened Jan. 22, runs 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Glass Gallery at Pembroke Pines City Hall (10100 Pines Blvd.). Free, includes wine and hors d’oeuvres.
