Nickelodeon star Daniella Monet is coming to Sublime (1431 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, 954-615-1431, SublimeRestaurant.com) vegan restaurant.
She’s in town on Sunday to reveal her new “Try to Relate to Who's on Your Plate” ad campaign for peta2, the youth division of People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals. She appears as an underwater mermaid to encourage people to become vegan.
Monet became a vegetarian at age 5 and a vegan while still in her teens.
The Sublime event is private, but you can try to spot Monet on the Sublime red carpet starting at 3:15 p.m.
Also expected to attend are: Pablo Azar of “El Talismán;” Ami James, “NY Ink” star and co-owner of Miami Beach's Love Hate Tattoos; and MMA fighter Thiago Alves; and model Elisabetta Canalis.
Monet will present 12-year-old New Yorker — and lifelong vegan activist — Rose McCoy with the Nanci Alexander Activist Award, named for the owner of Sublime and founder of the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida.
