Casino Miami Jai-Alai has high hand bonuses, tournaments and a celebrity event with former Miami Dolphin Channing Crowder in August.
Crowder's tournament is at 7 p.m. Aug. 22. Entry is $100 and the tournament carries a $15,000 guarantee. There is a $200 bounty on Crowder's head and unlimited $100 rebuys the first three levels. Players start with 8,000 units and can buy 4,000 more for $20.
A $5,000 guarantee "Summer Shootout" is at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 and a $5,000 guarantee tournament with a $100 buy-in is at 2 p.m. Aug. 18. A $5K freeroll is at 2 p.m. Aug. 25. On Monday, Aug. 12, only is a $4K Turbo with a $90 buy-in at 7 p.m. and the Crystal Queen women's poker league meets at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 (the third Thursday of each month) with a $50 buy-in for a $1,000 guarantee. Everybody can play in the 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday tournaments (except for Crowder's night), which have a $2,500 guarantee and cost $50.
Meanwhile, the poker room has a cross-promotion on bad beat jackpots with Fort Pierce, with a jackpot currently at about $80,000. The rolling "King of the Hill" runs from 10 a.m. to noon. The survivor gets $1,000 plus a Raspadito (scratch-off ticket).
The women's high hand runs from Monday at 10 a.m to Friday at midnight and includes a Raspadito.
High hands from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Mondays through Wednesdays pay $500 hourly until 4 p.m., then $250 after that. Same deal on Thursday, except from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for $500 and then $250 after that (Crowder's night not included).
Friday's high hand is $500 per hour from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. with hot table $1,000 progressive at noon, 6 p.m. and midnight. Saturday's high hands are Aug. 17 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and award $500 every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., $500 every hour after that.
On Aug. 10 and 24 it's Big High Hand, with $1,000 and $2,000 high hands from noon to 10 p.m. and $500 every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to noon and midnight to 2 a.m.
