Chrissy Polis was beaten at Rosedale McDonald's

The windows are wide open in the messy apartment, the afternoon sky darkening fast. Chrissy Polis can't stand the Essex neighborhood outside, where everyone knows who she is. But she doesn't know how to get out, or where she'd go if she did. Polis became an unwitting symbol of the transgender community and the struggle for transgender rights when she stepped into a Rosedale McDonald's one April evening. Two teen girls beat her that night. When an employee caught the assault on his cell phone, the video went viral, making headlines nationwide.

Rookie left-hander allows just two runs in seven innings as O's remain tied for 1st

Wei-Yin Chen said the day before Tuesday's start that he wasn't going to do anything differently this time around against the New York Yankees. In a 5-2 win against the Yankees on Tuesday that kept the Orioles (23-14) in a first-place tie with the Tampa Bay Rays, Chen just pitched – and turned in perhaps his best outing in the majors.
