SUFFIELD - The Emergency Aid Association is collecting for the Return-to-School Backpack Program to assist low-income school age children living in Suffield. Last August, 129 filled backpacks were distributed to children and youth identified as eligible. Spiral notebooks, pencils, pens, calculators, page dividers, zippered binders, rulers, glue sticks, glue, erasers, pencil sharpeners, highlighters, scissors, index cards, folders, ruled paper, and pencil pouches/boxes are needed. Monetary donations are also welcome to provide for additional needs.
